Job Overview:
The Information Technology Officer plays a crucial role in providing frontline technical support and operational IT services for FHI 360 staff and project offices in Tanzania. This position serves as the primary point of contact for end-user support, responsible for various IT functions including workstation deployment, software installation, user account provisioning, and asset management. The IT Officer is integral to ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient technology operations, particularly as the organization expands its workforce. The role involves close collaboration with the Systems Administrator and Manager of Digital Technology and Transformation (DTT) to support corporate IT infrastructure and implement IT policies and standards. Additionally, the IT Officer contributes to technology initiatives that enhance digital health programs and overall organizational operations. The position requires diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues, escalating complex incidents when necessary, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure effective service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Information Technology Officer include providing first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, videoconferencing equipment, and productivity software. The officer prepares devices for deployment and supports staff onboarding and offboarding activities. Responsibilities also include configuring and deploying laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals, diagnosing and resolving routine hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues, and managing support tickets to ensure timely resolution of incidents. The IT Officer provisions and deprovisions user accounts, devices, email access, and application permissions, assists users with password resets and account-related issues, and maintains an inventory of IT assets and software licenses. Furthermore, the officer supports asset tracking, equipment replacement, and disposal activities, provides user support for Microsoft 365 applications, and assists with IT setup for new office locations and project sites. The role also involves supporting the implementation of endpoint security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security procedures, reporting security incidents, and providing end-user training as necessary.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Information Technology Officer position must possess a diploma in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field. Additionally, applicants should have 2-4 years of IT support experience. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900), Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation, and Google IT Support Professional Certificate are also required.
