Job Overview: The mission of the position is to contribute to the implementation, technical quality, and development of the Humanitarian Workers Protection Mechanism by ensuring case management, partner support, and adherence to international protection standards. The role involves developing and continuously improving tools, procedures, and practices of the mechanism to ensure appropriate, coherent responses aligned with protection standards. Specifically, the responsibilities include ensuring the instruction, analysis, and coordination of support requests, monitoring protection cases and grants, coordinating with country partners and local actors, supporting the integration of protection through the strengthening of procedures, tools, and practices, and contributing to information analysis and strategic development of the mechanism. This position is crucial in ensuring that humanitarian workers are protected and supported effectively in their roles.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities for this position include:
Ensuring the instruction, analysis, and coordination of support requests related to the protection of humanitarian workers.
Monitoring and following up on protection cases and grants to ensure compliance with established standards.
Coordinating with country partners and local actors to facilitate effective protection measures.
Supporting the integration of protection into existing frameworks by enhancing procedures, tools, and practices.
Contributing to the analysis of information related to protection and assisting in the strategic development of the mechanism.
Engaging with vulnerable families, civil society organizations, communities, and individuals to ensure their needs are met and addressed.
Developing training and capacity-building initiatives for partners and stakeholders involved in protection efforts.
Participating in meetings and workshops to share insights and best practices related to protection mechanisms.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
A university degree (master's level) in law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, social sciences, international relations, or a related field.
Additional training in case management or programming related to protection is highly desirable.
A minimum of 2 years of demonstrable professional experience in case management and working with vulnerable families, civil society organizations, communities, and individuals.
A strong understanding of protection principles and survivor-centered approaches is essential.
Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel, are required.
The ability to work autonomously and demonstrate a strong capacity for innovation, adaptability, and teamwork is crucial.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a master's degree in a relevant field such as international law, social sciences, or international relations. Additional qualifications in case management or protection programming are advantageous and will be considered favorably during the selection process.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience, particularly in case management and working with vulnerable populations. Experience in humanitarian settings and familiarity with protection principles are critical for success in this role.
Languages: Fluency in French and English is mandatory, both orally and in writing. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

It is a full-time position based in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis). The salary ranges from €41,000 to €50,000 gross annually, depending on experience. Benefits include 25 days of annual leave and 21 days of RTT, health coverage with 80% paid by ACF, salary maintenance provisions for illness, maternity, and paternity, transportation allowances covering 50% of the commuting costs, and meal vouchers with 60% coverage by the organization. Telework is available to all employees within metropolitan territory, with no mandatory in-person presence required except for collective meetings and events (up to 3 days per month) and 2 days of mandatory presence during team integration.
