Job Overview:
The position of Coordinator for Case Management within the Humanitarian Workers Protection Mechanism involves contributing to the implementation, technical quality, and development of the protection mechanism. This role includes managing cases, supporting partners, and applying international protection standards. The coordinator will be responsible for developing and continuously improving tools, procedures, and practices to ensure appropriate and coherent responses aligned with protection standards. The position requires a proactive approach to ensure that the needs of vulnerable individuals are met effectively, and that the organization’s response is adaptable to changing contexts. The coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the protection of humanitarian workers is prioritized and effectively managed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Coordinator include:
  • Instruction, analysis, and coordination of support requests;
  • Receiving, reviewing, and evaluating grant and support requests to ensure compliance with mechanism criteria;
  • Conducting needs and risk assessments in collaboration with affected individuals and partners;
  • Developing tailored support plans with a survivor-centered approach;
  • Monitoring cases and protection grants;
  • Following up on actions taken by beneficiaries and partner organizations;
  • Overseeing the implementation of support plans and adapting responses as necessary;
  • Coordinating with country partners and local actors;
  • Identifying and evaluating partners; 1
  • Maintaining partnerships with national and local organizations to enhance the mechanism's activities; 1
  • Supporting the integration of protection through the strengthening of procedures, tools, and practices; 1
  • Co-coordinating the technical working group within the consortium on multidisciplinary case management to promote a harmonized approach to protection issues among partners; 1
  • Developing and updating tools, guides, protocols, and technical resources necessary for the mechanism's implementation; 1
  • Providing technical support to teams, partners, and stakeholders on protection, gender, and inclusion issues; 1
  • Collecting, analyzing, and reporting information to identify trends, emerging needs, and impacts of contextual changes; 1
  • Contributing to capitalization efforts, documenting best practices, and producing thematic analyses; 1
  • Defining, updating, and improving the case management strategy in line with international standards and field feedback.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree (master's level) in law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, social sciences, international relations, or a related field, along with additional training in case management or protection-related programming. A minimum of 2 years of demonstrable professional experience in case management and working with vulnerable families, civil society organizations, communities, and individuals is required. A strong understanding of protection principles and survivor-centered approaches is essential. Candidates should also have proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written, as well as strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel. The ability to work autonomously, propose innovative solutions, and adapt to evolving contexts is crucial, along with a strong inclination for teamwork.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a master's degree in international law, social sciences, international relations, or a related discipline. Additionally, candidates should have completed training in case management or programming related to protection, which is essential for effectively carrying out the responsibilities of the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in case management and working with vulnerable populations. This experience should include collaboration with civil society organizations and direct engagement with communities and individuals facing challenges. A strong understanding of protection principles and survivor-centered approaches is also necessary to ensure effective support and intervention.

Languages:
Proficiency in French and English is mandatory for this position, both in oral and written communication. This bilingual requirement is crucial for effective collaboration and communication with diverse stakeholders and partners. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory.

Additional Notes:
The employment status for this position is Integrated Executive – Fixed-term contract for 10 months until 30/08/2027, with full-time hours. The position is based in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis). The salary ranges from €32,000 to €41,000 gross annually over 13 months, depending on experience. Benefits include 25 days of annual leave and 21 days of RTT, health coverage with 80% coverage by ACF, salary maintenance provisions (sick leave, maternity, paternity), transportation allowances covering 50% of the commuting costs, meal vouchers with 60% coverage by the association, and social benefits from the CSE (gift vouchers, reimbursement for cultural activities). Remote work is available to all employees within metropolitan territory, with no mandatory in-person presence required except for collective meetings and events (up to 3 days per month) and 2 days of mandatory presence during team integration.
