Job Overview:
The mission of the position is to contribute to the implementation, technical quality, and development of the Humanitarian Workers Protection Mechanism by ensuring case management, partner support, and adherence to international protection standards. The role involves developing and continuously improving tools, procedures, and practices of the mechanism to ensure appropriate, coherent responses aligned with protection standards. The coordinator will be responsible for analyzing and coordinating support requests, monitoring protection cases and grants, and ensuring follow-up on actions taken by beneficiaries and partner organizations. The position also requires coordination with country partners and local actors, identifying and evaluating partners, and maintaining partnerships with national and local organizations to enhance the mechanism's activities in the host country. Additionally, the role includes supporting the integration of protection through strengthening procedures, tools, and practices, co-coordinating the technical working group within the consortium on multidisciplinary case management, and developing and updating necessary technical resources for the mechanism's implementation. The coordinator will also provide technical support to teams, partners, and stakeholders on protection, gender, and inclusion issues, contribute to information analysis and strategic development of the mechanism, and ensure the collection and analysis of information to identify trends, emerging needs, and impacts of contextual changes. Furthermore, the coordinator will contribute to capitalizing on experiences, documenting best practices, and producing thematic analyses, as well as defining, updating, and improving the case management strategy in line with international standards and field feedback.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the instruction, analysis, and coordination of support requests.
  • Monitor protection cases and grants.
  • Follow up on actions taken by beneficiaries and partner organizations.
  • Oversee the implementation of support plans and adapt responses as necessary.
  • Coordinate with country partners and local actors.
  • Identify and evaluate partners.
  • Maintain partnerships with national and local organizations contributing to the mechanism's activities.
  • Support the integration of protection through the enhancement of procedures, tools, and practices.
  • Co-coordinate the technical working group within the consortium on multidisciplinary case management to promote a harmonized approach to protection issues among partners. 1
  • Develop and update tools, guides, protocols, and technical resources necessary for the mechanism's implementation. 1
  • Provide technical support to teams, partners, and stakeholders on protection, gender, and inclusion issues. 1
  • Contribute to information analysis and strategic development of the mechanism. 1
  • Collect, analyze, and report information to identify trends, emerging needs, and impacts of contextual changes. 1
  • Contribute to capitalizing on experiences, documenting best practices, and producing thematic analyses. 1
  • Define, update, and improve the case management strategy in line with international standards and field feedback.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree (master's) in law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, social sciences, international relations, or a related field, along with additional training in case management or protection-related programming. A minimum of 2 years of demonstrable professional experience in case management and working with vulnerable families, civil society organizations, communities, and individuals is required. Candidates should also have a strong understanding of protection guiding principles and survivor-centered approaches. Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written, is essential. Candidates must demonstrate computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel. The ability to work autonomously, propose innovative solutions, and adapt to evolving contexts is crucial, along with a strong aptitude for teamwork.

Educational Background:
A master's degree in international law, social sciences, international relations, or a related discipline is required. Additional training in case management or protection-related programming is also necessary to ensure candidates are equipped with the relevant knowledge and skills for the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in case management and working with vulnerable populations, including families, civil society organizations, and communities. This experience should demonstrate a strong understanding of protection principles and survivor-centered approaches, ensuring that candidates are well-prepared to handle the complexities of the role.

Languages:
Fluency in French and English is mandatory, both orally and in writing. This bilingual proficiency is essential for effective communication and collaboration within the organization and with external partners. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.

The position is classified as a cadre integrated role with a fixed-term contract lasting 10 months, concluding on 30/08/202
  • It is a full-time position based in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis). The salary ranges from €32,000 to €41,000 gross annually, depending on experience. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year and 21 days of RTT (reduction of working time). Health coverage and insurance are provided, with 80% of costs covered by Action contre la Faim. Salary maintenance provisions are in place for illness, maternity, and paternity. Transportation costs are partially reimbursed, and meal vouchers are provided with a 60% contribution from the organization. The organization also offers social benefits through the CSE, including gift vouchers and reimbursement for cultural activities. Remote work is available to all employees in metropolitan territory, with no mandatory in-person presence required except for collective meetings and events, which may occur up to three days per month.
