Job Overview:
The FAO Systems Administration and Infrastructure Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the operationalization and sustainability of the NFI 2.0 information system. This position involves enhancing the IT infrastructure that supports SI-INTAN and associated applications. The Specialist will focus on practical improvements in infrastructure, monitoring, backup, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and operational readiness, ensuring that these tasks can be completed within the consultancy period. The role requires close collaboration with FAO technical staff and other stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure recommendations are developed collaboratively and reviewed through appropriate coordination mechanisms. The Specialist will be responsible for assessing current server utilization, storage consumption, and security controls, as well as preparing capacity assessments and expansion plans for the next three years based on institutional decisions and expected operational use of NFI 2.0.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the FAO Systems Administration and Infrastructure Specialist include:

• Supporting the assessment of current server utilization, storage consumption, backup arrangements, and security controls.
• Identifying and documenting priority infrastructure improvements feasible within the project period.
• Assisting in preparing capacity assessments and indicative expansion plans for the next three years.
• Monitoring the capacity plan based on changes in application scope, database size, and user growth.
• Supporting the configuration and technical checking of development, testing, and production environments.
• Compiling technical information on hosting, storage, network, access, and availability requirements.
• Monitoring server, storage, database, and application infrastructure indicators and providing recommendations for improvements.
• Assisting with user authentication, access controls, and basic security measures.
• Implementing server hardening measures and routine security updates. 1
• Supporting the implementation of security patching and vulnerability testing. 1
• Troubleshooting infrastructure-related technical issues and documenting resolutions. 1
• Preparing infrastructure documentation covering architecture, configuration, access, monitoring, and backup procedures. 1
• Supporting knowledge transfer and handover activities to designated technical staff.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. They should have at least five years of professional experience in system administration, IT infrastructure management, and enterprise information system support. A working knowledge of English is essential, and candidates must be nationals of Indonesia or residents with a valid work permit. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate core competencies such as results focus, teamwork, communication, building effective relationships, and knowledge sharing.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another relevant field. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of system administration and infrastructure management.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of professional experience in system administration, IT infrastructure management, and enterprise information system support. Candidates should have demonstrated experience administering Linux server operating systems and virtualization/container environments, as well as configuring and maintaining web servers and database services.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English, as it is essential for communication within the organization and with stakeholders. Additionally, proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly desirable, as it facilitates effective engagement with local counterparts and technical stakeholders.
