Job Overview:
The Transport Research Intern will play a crucial role in supporting WRI Indonesia's e-mobility portfolio, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from urban transportation through sustainable practices and vehicle electrification. This hybrid position requires the intern to work in the Jakarta office for 8 days each month while also allowing for remote work. The intern will collaborate closely with the Urban Mobility team, engaging in research and analysis related to electric mobility strategies. Responsibilities will include conducting desk research, interviewing stakeholders, analyzing mobility data, and assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations. The intern will also contribute to the Indonesia Freight Decarbonization Accelerator project, supporting strategy development and stakeholder engagement activities. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to electric mobility and transportation decarbonization topics while developing valuable research and stakeholder engagement skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's duties will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at supporting the Urban Mobility team and the broader goals of WRI Indonesia. Key responsibilities include conducting desk research on electric mobility and transportation decarbonization, performing interviews with key stakeholders to gather insights, analyzing mobility data to inform project strategies, and assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other research materials. The intern will also support the development and implementation of the Indonesia Freight Decarbonization Accelerator by contributing to strategy-related activities, engaging with stakeholders, and preparing materials for project activities. Additionally, the intern will participate in internal discussions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions, observe stakeholder engagement processes, and receive mentoring and feedback on their work.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in transportation, urban planning, civil engineering, economics, or a related field. Final-year students are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong interest in transportation, green mobility, environmental issues, and low-carbon technology. Basic experience in conducting research and data analysis using various tools is required. The candidate should exhibit a highly motivated attitude, proactive work style, excellent organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. Furthermore, the candidate must be legally able to enroll in an internship program in Indonesia and be willing to work from Jakarta, with the possibility of travel to other provinces or cities in Indonesia as assigned.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as transportation, urban planning, civil engineering, economics, or any related discipline is required.
