Job Overview:
The position of Auxiliar de Apoio à Gestão de Projetos involves providing administrative and coordination support for project activities related to drug prevention. The role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and timely execution of projects by assisting in planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. The selected candidate will work closely with UNODC, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and other partner institutions, contributing to initiatives aimed at preventing drug use and protecting children and adolescents from violence and crime. The role requires a proactive approach to support project management and ensure alignment with UN standards and national policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Auxiliar de Apoio à Gestão de Projetos will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: providing administrative support for project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting in accordance with UNOPS rules and regulations; assisting in tracking project progress, deliverables, contracts, travel, workshops, and grants; maintaining tracking tools and ensuring that operational and project data are up-to-date and properly archived; participating in regular team meetings and providing updates on progress, priorities, and coordination needs; offering logistical and administrative support for training and learning activities related to project management; participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives and Communities of Practice (CoPs); and assisting in the collection and compilation of information related to project management as requested by supervisors.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a completed high school diploma (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a degree in Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Relations, Social Sciences, Law, or related fields with no prior experience required. Proficiency in using collaboration and productivity tools (e.g., MS Office) and web-based management systems is essential. Experience in project management support, including logistics, procurement, travel, or event organization, is desirable. Familiarity with UN organizations will be considered an advantage, as well as experience in managing files and preparing administrative documentation and correspondence.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include a completed high school diploma or equivalent with three years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree in a related field such as Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Relations, Social Sciences, Law, or similar areas. Candidates with a degree are not required to have prior experience, making this position accessible to recent graduates as well as those with more extensive backgrounds.

Experience:
The position requires relevant experience in project management support or similar areas, particularly for candidates without a higher education degree. Demonstrable proficiency in using collaboration and productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office, is mandatory. While not required, experience working within the UN system will be viewed favorably. Candidates should also have proven experience in supporting project management, including organizing logistics, procurement, travel, or events, as well as managing files and preparing administrative documentation and correspondence.

Languages:
Fluency in Portuguese is required for this position, while proficiency in English at an intermediate level is desirable. This language requirement ensures effective communication within the team and with external partners, as well as the ability to engage with documentation and reports that may be in English.
