Job Overview: The Junior Business Support Assistant (Communications) position at the WFP Centre of Excellence against Hunger in Brazil is designed to support the Communications Unit in various administrative and communication-related processes. Duties and Responsibilities: The Junior Business Support Assistant (Communications) will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: providing business and administrative support for the preparation and dissemination of communication content across various channels such as social media, websites, and print materials, ensuring that all communications align with WFP's corporate messaging. The incumbent will maintain office files, documents, and multimedia content, ensuring that information is current and readily accessible. They will undertake standard data entry and content tracking tasks related to the social media calendar and communications reporting, ensuring that information is organized and easily accessible to the team. Additionally, the role involves supporting the graphic design unit by formatting and assembling textual content in accordance with WFP guidelines. The Junior Business Support Assistant will also perform administrative tasks related to communications operations, including procurement processes and documentation, and assist in preparing periodic reports on communications activities and outputs. Furthermore, the incumbent will assist in translating and adapting communications materials, including social media content, reports, and public information documents, as required, and perform any other business support or communications-related duties as necessary.
Required Qualifications: The position requires the completion of secondary education, with a university degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Design, or related fields considered an asset. Candidates should possess at least one year of relevant work experience in office and administrative procedures, reporting, and database management. Experience supporting communications activities such as content production, social media management, or design is essential. Familiarity with communications tools and platforms, including content management systems like WordPress, is necessary. The ability to organize information, manage multiple tasks, and provide client-oriented support is crucial for success in this role. Additionally, a working knowledge of design and multimedia tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut is advantageous.
