Job Overview:
The Information Systems Security Analyst will report to the Security Operations Center Manager and is responsible for sourcing, installing, and maintaining various security systems, including unified threat management (UTM), messaging gateways, security information and event management (SIEM), encryption systems, and endpoint security. The role requires monitoring server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, web filtering, and antivirus systems to detect unusual or suspicious activities to prevent security breaches. The analyst will conduct incident management, business impact analysis (BIA), and disaster recovery planning (DRP), ensuring that recovery configurations are updated regularly. The position demands staying informed about the latest developments in the IT security industry, including new security solutions and emerging threats.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The principal duties include participating in Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, monitoring computer security risks, responding to IT security incidents, and conducting in-depth investigations on security events. The analyst will evaluate events and incidents to identify root causes and implement necessary security actions. They will also maintain and configure IT security tools, perform SIEM implementation and management, and ensure operational controls and documentation are in place. Additionally, the analyst will assist in risk management by proposing mitigation steps based on risk assessments and participating in training initiatives to promote security awareness among colleagues. The role also involves executing security audits and assessments and advising on corrective actions or enhancements to IT products or projects.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of three-to-four years of education at a university or specialized higher education institution in fields such as software engineering, computer science, information technology, information security, mathematics, or engineering. Additionally, one or more internationally recognized IT Security Certifications (CISM, CISSP, CEH, etc.) are required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of IT security principles and practices, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a degree in a relevant field such as software engineering, computer science, information technology, information security, mathematics, or engineering. Candidates with additional certifications in IT security will be preferred, as these demonstrate a commitment to professional development and expertise in the field.

Experience:
At least three years of experience in the IT security field is required, with a preference for candidates who have previously worked in a Security Operations Center (SOC). This experience should include hands-on involvement in monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and implementing security measures to protect organizational assets.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Proficiency in another official working language of the Organization, such as French, Arabic, or Spanish, would be considered an additional asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.

Additional Notes:
The position offers fixed-term and short-term contracts, with varying durations possible depending on future needs, up to a maximum of three years. Candidates should be aware that this selection exercise will generate a reserve list of suitable candidates for future staffing needs. Selected candidates may be expected to report for duty approximately one to three months after receiving an offer of employment. Additionally, candidates should note that INTERPOL's Staff Manual Regulation 11.4 imposes an age limit for officials, which may affect the employment period for candidates who reach the age of 65 during the potential duration of the appointment.
