Job Overview: The SECONDMENT Coordinator, IBMTF is responsible for coordinating specialized daily and ad hoc projects, working groups, and conferences related to police capabilities. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring the implementation of policies, and maintaining the quality and timeliness of deliverables. The Coordinator serves as the central point of contact for police-related matters, providing advice and preparing analytical studies and presentations to support decision-making. This position requires proactive engagement with various stakeholders and the ability to represent INTERPOL at external events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement and coordinate daily and ad hoc tasks in line with organizational priorities, ensuring timely and efficient execution of plans.
Supervise unit staff, providing guidance and monitoring the quality of their work, while identifying training needs and assessing performance.
Provide analytical studies and advice to hierarchy, preparing written reports and presentations to inform decision-making.
Act as the central point of contact for police-related issues, facilitating communication within the organization and with external partners.
Replace the Director in their absence, ensuring continuity in the operations of the IBMTF.
Perform additional tasks as required to support the organization's mandate and objectives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree or equivalent higher education, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in law enforcement or police-related fields. Management experience and project management skills are essential, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience in staff supervision.
Educational Background: A minimum of three to four years of education at a university or specialized higher education institution is required. Candidates should have a background in law enforcement or related fields, with a focus on practical application in police operations.
Experience: Candidates should have at least five years of experience in law enforcement or police-related roles, with demonstrated management experience and project management capabilities. Experience in supervising staff is highly desirable, as is a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in a second official language of the Organization (Arabic, French, or Spanish) considered an asset. Strong communication skills in both written and oral forms are essential for this role.
Additional Notes: The position is a secondment role with a duration of 36 months. Candidates must ensure that their home Administration/Agency/Service/Government agrees to the conditions of secondment, including salary and benefits during the assignment.
