Job Overview:
The Programme Analyst for Women's Economic Empowerment at UN Women plays a crucial role in the effective management and implementation of programs aimed at enhancing women's economic empowerment, particularly through the green economy. Reporting to the Women’s Economic Empowerment Portfolio Lead, the Programme Analyst is responsible for providing substantive technical inputs to program planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, reporting, and partnership management. This position requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, including program and operations teams, government counterparts, development partners, civil society organizations, and the private sector. The Programme Analyst is expected to contribute to the development of program strategies, provide technical support to program implementation, and ensure that all activities align with UN Women policies and results-based management principles.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Programme Analyst include:

• Contributing technically to the development of program strategies in women's economic empowerment through the green economy, including providing inputs to design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, formulation, and implementation.
• Supporting the implementation and management of assigned women's economic empowerment programs by leading program activities, coordinating proposals, and monitoring partner reports.
• Providing technical assistance and capacity development to project partners, maintaining relationships, and facilitating training as needed.
• Monitoring and reporting on program/project progress, drafting reports, and providing inputs for donor and UN Women reports.
• Managing people and finances related to the women's economic empowerment programs, including budget monitoring and revisions.
• Building partnerships and resource mobilization strategies, preparing documentation for donor meetings, and participating in public information events.
• Supporting inter-agency coordination on women's economic empowerment and drafting background reports.
• Contributing to advocacy, knowledge building, and communication efforts by developing documents and organizing campaigns and workshops.
• Performing other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office and organization.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Programme Analyst position include a Master's degree or equivalent in fields such as agriculture and green economy, horticulture, irrigation, agricultural economics, or related areas. A first-level university degree in economy, engineering, or environmental science may be accepted with additional qualifying experience. A project/program management certification is considered an advantage. Candidates must possess at least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in agricultural or rural development program implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and donor reporting. Experience in liaising with government agencies and donors, establishing agricultural infrastructure, and using modern web-based financial and program management systems is required. Strong communication and reporting abilities in both Arabic and English are essential.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as agriculture and green economy, horticulture, irrigation, agricultural economics, or related areas. Alternatively, a first-level university degree in economy, engineering, or environmental science, combined with two additional years of qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. A project/program management certification would be an added advantage.

Experience:
The position requires at least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in areas such as agricultural or rural development program/project implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building. Experience in coordinating with government agencies and donors, as well as in establishing agricultural infrastructure, is essential. Candidates should also have experience in project management and problem-solving, along with strong communication skills.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Arabic is required for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset.
