Job Overview:
The Analyst (Wargaming) position is situated within the Operations Directorate, specifically in the Joint Assessment Division. The role involves employing wargames as a method to inform decision-making across the Command and Headquarters, particularly in the assessment, planning, and execution of joint operations. The incumbent will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and executing joint operational wargames, assisting in identifying customer requirements, and supporting operations and exercise planning. The position also entails contributing to the development of NATO wargaming doctrine and policy, as well as engaging with the wider NATO wargaming community. The Analyst will utilize the JFCNP wargame library to ensure continuity of knowledge and resource efficiency, and will coordinate with SHAPE for the procurement of necessary wargaming tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties of the Analyst (Wargaming) include enabling the design, analysis, and execution of joint operational wargames, assisting in identifying customer requirements, and supporting operations planning and mission rehearsal processes. The incumbent will contribute to the development of pan-NATO wargaming doctrine and policy, and will engage with the JFCNP wargaming community for training and professional development. Additionally, the Analyst will facilitate networking with other NATO entities and national wargaming organizations, manage the JFCNP wargame library, and coordinate with SHAPE for the procurement of commercial wargames. The role may also involve performing similar duties elsewhere within the organization and undertaking deployments in support of military operations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a University Degree in operations research, military operations research, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline, along with 2 years of function-related experience. Alternatively, candidates with Higher Secondary education and advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification must have 4 years of post-related experience. Essential qualifications include experience in operational analysis, knowledge of operational research techniques, and experience in planning and conducting military wargames. Candidates should also demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a University Degree in a relevant field such as operations research, military operations research, mathematics, statistics, or computer science. Candidates with Higher Secondary education and advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification are also considered, provided they have the requisite experience. Experience:
