Job Overview:
The Associate, Corporate Communications plays a crucial role in supporting the Associate Director, Head of External Communications, in developing and executing corporate communications strategies that enhance the visibility, reputation, and impact of the EBRD. This position is based in London and involves shaping and implementing communications strategies that facilitate the Bank's engagement with international media and key opinion leaders. The Associate will work across various media, digital, and corporate communications channels to ensure effective communication of the EBRD's activities and leadership to audiences in key markets. A significant aspect of this role is to support communications efforts in G7 countries and to strengthen relationships with leading international media organizations and journalists in major financial and political centers. The Associate will collaborate closely with senior management and colleagues within the Communications Department to plan and deliver high-profile communications initiatives, major international events, and executive visibility programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: supporting the Associate Director in developing and delivering corporate communications strategies that align with the Bank's strategic priorities; providing strategic communications counsel to senior internal stakeholders; enhancing the visibility and positioning of EBRD senior leaders through proactive communications and media engagement; developing and maintaining strong relationships with top-tier international media outlets and journalists, particularly in G7 countries; planning and delivering communications around high-level official visits involving senior EBRD management; seeking high-profile media opportunities such as interviews and press briefings; preparing briefing materials, talking points, Q&As, speeches, and media lines for senior leadership; supporting communications activities around major international events attended by the EBRD; implementing integrated digital communications plans; producing multimedia content to support the Bank's strategic priorities; drafting and editing various communications materials; monitoring media and political developments relevant to the Bank; contributing to crisis communications preparedness; and measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of the Bank's external communications.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess excellent judgment, strong written and verbal communication skills, proven media relations experience, and sound political awareness. The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international, and stakeholder-intensive environment is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to communications and possess the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field is required. A master's degree or equivalent qualification would be advantageous and may enhance a candidate's profile for this position.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field. Experience working in an international environment or with international media is highly desirable. Familiarity with the financial sector and understanding of the EBRD's mission and operations will be beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly those spoken in G7 countries, would be considered an asset and could enhance a candidate's suitability for the role.
