Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be involved in a variety of tasks that support the operations of the Budget and Disbursing Branch within the Finance Directorate. Responsibilities include assisting in the documentation of the annual budget, preparing travel and hospitality fund claims, collecting and organizing budget-related documentation, and preparing ad hoc reports for the Financial Controller. Interns will also assist in managing disbursing activities, including requests for funds, maintaining bank accounts, and ensuring proper documentation for audit purposes. Additionally, they will help in drafting international agreements and improving budget procedures, thereby gaining hands-on experience in financial management within an international context.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the internship, candidates must be citizens of NATO member nations and possess a certificate from their university indicating that the internship is a necessary component of their academic program. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and candidates should have completed at least two years of university study or equivalent. The program is open to current students or recent graduates who have obtained their degree within the last 18 months, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to contribute to the organization.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have at least a university degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, engineering, or a related discipline. Interns are required to have social insurance coverage, including health care, which must be documented during the onboarding process.
