Job Overview: The LANDCOM Internship Programme is designed to provide current students and recent graduates with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within an international organization. Interns will engage in various projects that contribute to their professional development while enhancing the operational capabilities of LANDCOM. The internship spans six months and is available for students pursuing a degree, recent graduates, or those looking to gain experience in a specific project related to their field of study. Interns will work closely with the Family Support, Morale, and Welfare (FSMW) section, which focuses on supporting the mental and physical well-being of NATO personnel and their families. This role will involve creating resources and guides that assist newcomers and departing personnel, thereby facilitating their transition and adaptation to life in Türkiye.
Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at improving the services provided by the FSMW section. Key responsibilities include:
Baseline Process Mapping: Identifying and documenting all necessary steps for newcomers and departing personnel, including vehicle registration, residency, and local administrative tasks.
Creating Setting-in Guides: Developing comprehensive newcomer information packs that cover essential tasks, locations, documents, and timelines.
Departure Checklists: Crafting clear, step-by-step guides for personnel and their families to ensure a smooth transition.
Vehicle Registration Support Materials: Producing easy-to-follow instructions for vehicle registration and deregistration, including necessary document templates and appointment guidance.
Digital Information Hub: Building a centralized repository for all arrival and departure resources to streamline access to information.
Orientation and Briefing Content: Drafting presentation materials, handouts, and talking points for newcomer briefings.
Feedback and Improvement: Establishing a system to collect user feedback and regularly update materials to enhance service delivery.
Providing routine administrative and organizational support to the Morale and Welfare staff to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for the LANDCOM Internship Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of a NATO member nation.
University Certification: A certificate from the university stating that the internship is necessary for their professional development is required.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is mandatory, with a minimum level of SLP 2222 or higher.
Academic Background: Candidates should have completed at least two years of successful university study or possess equivalent qualifications. The program is open to current students or recent graduates who have obtained their degree within the last 18 months.
Skills: Good communication skills, an interest in administration, human resources, public service, or community support, and the ability to research, organize information, and create clear written products are essential. Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF formats, is also required.

Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory for all applicants, as it is the primary working language of NATO. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. While English is the only mandatory language, knowledge of additional languages, particularly those spoken in NATO member countries, may be considered advantageous but is not required.
Additional Notes: The LANDCOM Internship Programme is a six-month internship that can be part of or complementary to a university degree program. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of 52,026.89 TRY to cover their living expenses, travel, and subsistence. However, selected interns are responsible for their accommodation and work permit arrangements. Travel tickets to and from Türkiye will be reimbursed up to a total amount of 1200 EUR. Interns are required to have social insurance coverage, including health care, which must be documented during the in-processing phase. Additionally, candidates must take care of formalities with Turkish authorities regarding their stay in Türkiye.
