Job Overview: The LANDCOM Internship Programme is designed to offer interns a comprehensive understanding of the workings of an international organization, specifically within the context of NATO. Interns will engage in a six-month program that can complement their university studies or serve as a stepping stone for recent graduates. The program is structured to accommodate candidates from diverse fields such as political science, international relations, security studies, law, economics, engineering, logistics, human resources, financial administration, accounting, information technology, language services, journalism, and media communications. Interns will be expected to contribute to various projects, gain valuable work experience, and enhance their professional profiles. The internship will involve supporting the Director of Management and the DCOS Transformation & Integration in various tasks, including project management, infrastructure development, and business continuity efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be responsible for a range of duties that include coordinating and synchronizing activities with the DCOS Transformation and Integration Office, managing tasker tracker enterprise requirements, assisting in the writing and proofing of staff products, and coordinating meetings and travel for team members. They will also familiarize themselves with project management principles and complete initial PM certification training, as well as Business Continuity principles and certification training. Additionally, interns will support infrastructure development projects, assist with the management of HQ expansion projects, and help the Specific Environments Panel Chair with work related to bi-annual meetings and the Land Operations Working Group. They will also be involved in the development of an unclassified website linked to the LANDCOM NU facing website.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for the internship, candidates must be citizens of a NATO member nation and provide a certificate from their university stating that the internship is necessary for their professional development. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and candidates should have completed at least two years of university study or possess equivalent qualifications. The program is open to current students or recent graduates who have obtained their degree within the last 18 months. Essential qualifications include a university degree focused on business or management, or a background in civil or architectural engineering. Higher secondary education with an emphasis on office management and product development is also acceptable. Candidates must demonstrate a strong command of the English language, with a proficiency level of SLP 3.3.3.3 or its civilian equivalent.

Interns must have social insurance coverage, including health care, which must be documented during the in-processing phase.
