The Senior Finance Officer position within the Concessional Financing Division (FINCF) of the Finance Department (FIN) is crucial for supporting low-income countries (LICs) through effective financial management and resource mobilization. The successful candidate will engage in operational work to ensure adequate funding for concessional lending and debt relief operations, contributing to the preparation of Board documents and collaborating with various teams within the IMF. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for implementing FINCF’s strategy for fundraising for concessional resources, which includes strengthening donor and partner relationships, conducting strategic outreach, and enhancing internal collaboration. Key responsibilities include developing plans for monitoring contributions, liaising with director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Executive Director offices, drafting contribution agreements, and preparing Board documents related to concessional lending and debt relief operations. The officer will also contribute to the preparation of analytical notes and complex analyses regarding financing needs and resource availability. At higher grade levels, the officer will lead fundraising initiatives and mentor junior team members.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field, along with an advanced degree or professional finance certification (such as CPA, CA, CFA). A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience is required, or alternatively, at least 2 years of experience in a related position at Grade A12 or equivalent. Familiarity with the IMF’s policies on concessional financing and debt relief to LICs is advantageous, as is experience with IMF fundraising initiatives for capacity development. Strong analytical, communication, technical, and writing skills are essential, along with sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple issues under tight deadlines.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field. Professional finance certifications such as CPA, CA, or CFA are also acceptable qualifications that enhance a candidate's profile for this role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in finance or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with at least 2 years of experience in a related position at Grade A12 or equivalent are also eligible.
