Job Overview: The Senior Procurement Specialist (Category Head – HR and Professional Services) is a pivotal role within the World Bank Group, primarily responsible for leading a team of Category Managers and Analysts in the procurement of HR and professional services. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Specialist include:
Category Strategy and Leadership: Develop and implement category strategies across assigned spend categories, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and drive a category management approach focused on total cost of ownership and supplier innovation.
Team Leadership and People Management: Lead and mentor a team of Category Managers, establish performance expectations, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Supply Management, Finance Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, Applied Economics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in category management and sourcing complex procurements. Proven experience in HR/professional services sourcing is essential, as is the ability to lead high-performing teams and build effective relationships with senior leaders. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required, along with project management capabilities to manage multiple related projects effectively.
