Job Overview:
The Manager, Talent and Career Development at the World Bank Group plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's talent strategy. This position is responsible for leading the governance and delivery of the enterprise talent and career development agenda. The Manager will oversee critical functions such as performance management, talent reviews, promotions, and career development, ensuring that these practices are fair, data-driven, and aligned with the organization's business priorities. The role requires close collaboration with senior leaders and HR Business Partners to strengthen leadership pipelines and enhance workforce capabilities. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Manager will be responsible for leading the design and execution of a cohesive talent and career strategy that aligns with organizational priorities. Key responsibilities include advising senior leaders on leadership pipelines and succession readiness, leading enterprise talent and succession reviews, and developing career pathways and internal mobility practices. The Manager will establish governance standards for talent practices, utilize workforce data to improve effectiveness, and adopt innovative AI-enabled solutions to enhance talent management processes. Additionally, the role involves fostering a high-performance culture, ensuring transparency in talent decisions, and building partnerships across HR and the business to enhance manager and leadership capabilities. The Manager will also lead a high-performing team, driving enterprise-wide transformation and change management initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree and at least 12 years of progressive experience in Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, or related fields. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is acceptable. The ideal candidate will have experience leading large-scale talent transformation initiatives and a proven track record of influencing executives and driving organizational change. Strong knowledge of performance management, succession planning, and career development is essential, along with demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with senior executives and global partners. Experience with AI-enabled technology in talent development is also required.

Educational Background:
A Master’s Degree in a relevant field is required for this position. Candidates with equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered. The educational background should ideally include studies related to Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business Administration, providing a solid foundation for understanding talent management principles and practices.

Experience:
The position requires at least 12 years of progressive experience in Talent Management or Organizational Effectiveness. Candidates should have a strong background in leading enterprise-scale talent transformation initiatives and a demonstrated ability to influence organizational change. Experience in managing high-performing teams and leading Centers of Excellence or similar functions is also essential.

Languages:
