Job Overview:
The IAEA Internship in Nuclear Fusion offers a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain practical work experience in the field of nuclear sciences, particularly focusing on nuclear fusion research. Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for supporting the preparation of technical reports for submission to the Publication Committee, which includes reports for Technical Meetings, Consultancy Meetings, and Workshops organized within the sub-programme 1.4.

• They will also assist in managing the Fusion Portal, which disseminates information related to the IAEA's activities in fusion research and development. This includes creating and developing new content for the portal. Additionally, interns will help in the preparation and implementation of scientific and technical events focused on nuclear fusion research, ensuring that all activities are well-organized and effectively communicated to participants.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Nuclear Physics, Plasma Physics, Nuclear Fusion, or related fields. A demonstrated interest in fusion research is essential, along with experience in organizing scientific events. Knowledge of the technical aspects of fusion research and familiarity with major ongoing national and international activities in the field are also required. Interns should have skills in creating, managing, and developing small projects, as well as the ability to comprehend technical content and develop technical documents.

Educational Background:
Applicants must be at least 20 years old and have completed a minimum of three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a first degree. Candidates may apply up to one year after completing a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree. It is important that candidates have not previously participated in the IAEA's internship programme.

Experience:
The internship is aimed at individuals who are either currently studying or have recently graduated, thus requiring candidates to have relevant academic experience in their field of study. Experience in organizing scientific events is particularly valuable, as it demonstrates the candidate's ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively with others in a professional setting.

Languages:
Good written and spoken English is essential for this position. Fluency in any other IAEA official language, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, or Russian, is considered an asset and may enhance the candidate's application.
