Job Overview:
The Associate Safeguards Information Analyst (State Declarations) is a pivotal role within the IAEA's Department of Safeguards, which is responsible for ensuring that nuclear materials are not diverted from peaceful uses. This position involves supporting the collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of information related to nuclear material accounting and Additional Protocol declarations provided by States. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Associate Safeguards Information Analyst include acquiring knowledge of the Declared Information Analysis Section's work, analyzing nuclear material accounting reports and Additional Protocol submissions, collecting and compiling data from State reports, identifying discrepancies, and suggesting improvements to databases and software. The analyst will also assist in the design and testing of new data collection and reporting methods, draft guidance materials, and stay updated on international safeguards developments. This role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure comprehensive analysis and reporting of safeguards-relevant information.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in sciences such as physics, chemistry, nuclear science, or nuclear engineering. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in nuclear material accounting, nuclear safeguards activities, or nuclear non-proliferation is required. Familiarity with information collection and analytical techniques is essential, and experience with complex databases is considered an asset. Strong analytical skills and the ability to integrate information into structured reports are crucial for this role.

Educational Background:
