Job Overview: The position involves developing and writing a comprehensive handbook aimed at diplomatic and consular staff, providing guidance on how to assist and protect potential victims of human trafficking. The handbook will incorporate current practices, including online visa processing and the use of AI technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with the OSCE Supply Chains Project team and will be expected to participate in an expert-level workshop in Vienna. This role is critical in ensuring that the handbook is informative, accurate, and reflective of best practices in the field of human trafficking prevention and victim assistance.
Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for several key tasks:
Develop a handbook that aligns with current practices in diplomatic and consular services, particularly focusing on online visa processing and AI technologies.
Ensure that the handbook contains relevant information presented in an accurate and concise manner.
Collaborate with the OSCE Supply Chains Project team to gather insights and feedback.
Prepare for and participate in an expert-level workshop in Vienna, contributing to discussions and gathering additional input for the handbook.
Facilitate the review process of the draft handbook, incorporating feedback in a timely manner.
Finalize the handbook, including a review by survivors, and present the completed document to the OSCE Supply Chains Project team.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in international relations, human rights, political or social science, or a related field. Additionally, they should have at least 10 years of experience in diplomatic and consular services, particularly in visa adjudication or immigration authorities, as well as experience in combating trafficking in human beings. A strong background in research and relevant employment in high-risk fields for trafficking is also required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of professionals.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree is required, specifically in fields such as international relations, human rights, political science, social science, or similar disciplines. Experience: The position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in diplomatic and consular services, including work with visa adjudication or immigration authorities. Languages: Professional fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms.
