Job Overview: The LogisticsCoordinator is responsible for overseeing the logistical activities of the mission to ensure the smooth implementation of SI programs in Haiti. This role involves establishing and ensuring compliance with SI's logistical procedures and tools within the mission. The Logistics Coordinator participates in defining the strategic direction of SI in the mission, contributes to project writing, and assesses the resources needed for SI's activities. Additionally, this position supports the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">country director in operational security management and serves as the primary contact for logistical matters between the headquarters and the mission. The mission is currently in a significant phase of transition and development, which includes an increasing operational volume and the deployment into two new areas, necessitating the establishment of key procedures within the mission.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistics Coordinator's duties include but are not limited to:
Leading the logistical activities of the mission to ensure effective program implementation.
Establishing and enforcing compliance with logistical procedures and tools.
Participating in the strategic planning and project writing for the mission.
Assessing the necessary resources for SI's activities.
Supporting the country director in managing operational security.
Acting as the liaison between the headquarters and the mission for all logistical inquiries.
Monitoring and reporting on logistical activities and challenges to ensure continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a higher education degree in logistics (supply chain, transport, general services, humanitarian logistics) or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with 0-2 years in a similar position. Technical skills required include knowledge of the rules and procedures of various institutional donors, mastery of logistics operations, particularly supply chain management, and strong writing, analytical, and synthesis skills. Interpersonal skills such as planning, organization, coordination, diplomacy, and adaptability are also essential, as well as the ability to work in an unstable security environment.
Educational Background: A higher education degree in logistics or a related field is required. This could include degrees in supply chain management, transport, general services, or humanitarian logistics. Equivalent qualifications may also be considered, provided they demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills in logistics management.
Experience: The position requires at least 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a preference for candidates who have held similar roles for 0-2 years. This experience should ideally include direct involvement in logistics management within humanitarian operations, demonstrating an understanding of the complexities and challenges faced in such environments.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, while knowledge of Haitian Creole is considered a plus. Proficiency in additional languages may enhance a candidate's profile but is not explicitly required for this position.

The role is based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where the living conditions include accommodation in a guest house with individual rooms located in a secure compound. The organization offers a competitive salary starting from EUR 2860 gross per month, which includes a base salary and a 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly, along with a monthly per diem of USD 75
SI also covers housing costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the duty station. During the mission, a work and leave alternation system is implemented, allowing for breaks every three months, with additional rest days accrued.
