Job Overview: The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is situated within the Recruitment and Staff Development Unit of the Human Resources Services, Office of the Executive Secretary at the CTBTO. The primary aim of this internship is to provide university students and recent graduates with a practical learning experience in the field of human resources, specifically focusing on recruitment and staff development. Interns will engage in various activities that support the organization's mission, including assisting in the development of training materials, participating in talent acquisition initiatives, and contributing to the overall enhancement of staff engagement and organizational development. This role is designed to help interns gain valuable insights into the workings of an international organization while developing their professional skills in human resources management.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be involved in several key areas of responsibility, including:
Learning & Staff Development: Supporting activities related to staff learning and development initiatives, maintaining and updating training materials, and assisting in organizing training activities.
Talent Acquisition Activities: Engaging in outreach and employer branding efforts, contributing to recruitment initiatives, and helping to attract a diverse candidate pool.
Other Responsibilities: Participating in meetings and events, providing logistical support, assisting with HR communications, and contributing to digitalization and process improvement initiatives within the HR department. The intern will also be expected to perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 18 years old and no older than 35 years old. While no prior professional experience is required, relevant academic exposure or experience in human resources is considered an asset. Strong analytical and research skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication abilities, are essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with AI-based tools and technology-enabled processes is advantageous, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of social media platforms.
Educational Background: Applicants must have completed at least two years of full-time study at a university or equivalent institution, leading to a degree in human resources management, business administration, social sciences, communications, marketing, law, or a related field. Applications are accepted up to two years after the completion of a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. A strong interest in human resources, particularly in areas such as Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition, is required.
