Job Overview:
The Finance Analyst position is integral to the financial operations of the FAO, specifically in delivering financial services to FAO Decentralized Offices. The role involves a variety of financial administration tasks, including bank reconciliation, transaction processing, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The Finance Analyst will work closely with the Finance Officer and the Finance Unit team, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations within the organization. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Analyst will be responsible for a range of duties, including acting as a point of contact for CSF and Decentralized Offices regarding bank reconciliation matters. The role involves performing routine financial administration support, such as calculating, inputting, and verifying financial information, and communicating any discrepancies to supervisors. The Finance Analyst will monitor the workload of the bank reconciliation team, track task progress, and report updates. Additionally, the analyst will verify data accuracy, investigate errors, and take corrective actions as necessary. Other responsibilities include extracting transaction details from the accounting system, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring smooth processing of invoices and payments, and maintaining standard operating procedures. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of secondary school education and have at least four years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, cash management, or asset management support work. A working knowledge of English at level C is required, and candidates must be nationals of Hungary or residents with a valid work permit. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate core competencies such as results focus, teamwork, communication, building effective relationships, and knowledge sharing.
