Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Data Analyst Associate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: developing and maintaining statistical and predictive modeling approaches, such as explanatory variable-based models and time series models; managing data effectively to ensure accuracy and accessibility; engaging with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights; translating complex analytical findings into clear, understandable results for both technical and non-technical audiences; ensuring high-quality documentation and reproducibility of analytical workflows; and continuously improving analytical models to enhance decision-making processes across the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong expertise in statistical and predictive modeling techniques, including regression-based approaches and time series forecasting. Advanced proficiency in analytical tools such as Python, R, and SQL is essential. The ability to translate business requirements into actionable data solutions is crucial, along with a solid understanding of model validation and process standardization. Candidates should also demonstrate strong communication skills, enabling them to present complex findings effectively to diverse audiences. A balance of detail orientation and strategic thinking is necessary, along with a genuine curiosity about data and its potential insights.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a secondary education (high school diploma) is required, with professional or university courses in relevant fields being highly desirable. A university degree in statistics, mathematics, data science, economics, computer science, or another quantitative discipline is preferred, as it enhances the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience in statistical analysis, predictive analytics, or advanced data modeling. Candidates with a completed university degree from an accredited institution may have up to four years of their experience counted towards this requirement, making it essential for applicants to have a robust background in data analysis and modeling.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language, such as Arabic, French, Russian, Spanish, or Chinese, or a local language, is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's application.
