Job Overview:
The Programme Associate position at UN Women involves providing support to the Programme Team in the development and implementation of effective programs that align with UN Women’s rules and regulations. The role includes contributing to research, financial management, and program implementation, as well as providing operational, administrative, and programmatic support. The Programme Associate will work closely with various stakeholders, including operations, program, and project staff in the Regional Office, Country Offices, and UN Women Headquarters. The position is integral to the successful execution of the 'PROTECT' project, which focuses on the protection of the rights of women and children in labor migration, particularly addressing the vulnerabilities of women migrant workers to violence and exploitation. The Programme Associate will play a key role in ensuring that the project is implemented effectively and that all necessary administrative and logistical support is provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
  • Providing administrative and logistical support for the formulation and management of programs, including preparing work plans, budgets, and proposals;
  • Offering technical guidance to Country Offices and executing agencies on program delivery and reporting;
  • Preparing information for audits and supporting the implementation of audit recommendations;
  • Reviewing program data for the Regional Office website;
  • Gathering and compiling data for documents and guidelines;
  • Supporting financial management by creating projects in the Quantum system, preparing budget revisions, and monitoring program finances;
  • Undertaking logistical arrangements for meetings, workshops, and events;
  • Making travel arrangements for the Programme Team;
  • Preparing public information materials and presentations; 1
  • Supporting resource mobilization efforts by preparing agreements and processing donor information; 1
  • Facilitating knowledge sharing and training for office personnel and partners on program management and operations; 1
  • Performing other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a completion of secondary education as a minimum requirement. A Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration is desirable. Additionally, candidates should have at least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in administration or program management/support. Experience in a computer environment using multiple office software packages is required, along with experience in supporting a team. Familiarity with modern web-based ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud, is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a completion of secondary education as a minimum. A Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration is preferred, indicating a higher level of understanding and capability in managing administrative and programmatic tasks effectively.

Experience:
The position requires at least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in administration or program management/support. This experience should demonstrate the candidate's ability to manage complex administrative tasks and support program implementation effectively. Experience in a computer environment using multiple office software packages is essential, as is experience in supporting a team in a collaborative environment. Familiarity with modern web-based ERP systems, particularly Oracle Cloud, is desirable but not mandatory.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Thai is required for this position. Additionally, knowledge of another official UN language (such as French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is considered desirable, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate in a diverse and multicultural environment.
