Job Overview:
The position of Expert-e en accompagnement des organisations de femmes is crucial for ONU Femmes Haiti as it aims to enhance women's political participation and prevent violence during electoral periods. The expert will work closely with various women's organizations and institutions to ensure strategic coherence between action plans and recommendations from political participation initiatives. This role involves supporting the mobilization and capacity building of women's organizations to ensure effective participation in electoral processes. The expert will also develop common tools and methodologies to harmonize practices among organizations engaged in electoral initiatives, thereby fostering an inclusive political environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Expert-e include aligning electoral initiatives among different women's organizations, developing communication tools and methodological guides, and supporting the capacity building of alliance members and partner organizations. The expert will be responsible for producing detailed analytical reports, proposing adjustments for harmonization validated by all partners, and creating synthesis documents or joint reports to ensure transparent communication and collective management of electoral initiatives. The expert will also facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance the skills of participants in the electoral process.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate integrity and adhere to the values and ethics of the United Nations. They should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to propose solutions while respecting confidentiality and professional ethics. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in common software tools. The candidate should also have the ability to organize and facilitate workshops and training sessions. Functional competencies include strong institutional and strategic analysis capabilities, aptitude for facilitating coordination among institutions and stakeholders, and proficiency in gender approaches applied to electoral processes.

Educational Background:
A master's degree in social sciences, communication, law, political science, or other relevant fields is required. The educational background should reflect a strong understanding of gender equality and women's rights, particularly in the context of Haiti.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field is required. Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in gender equality and women's rights, with a solid understanding of the Haitian context and its electoral processes.

Languages:
Fluency in French and Creole is required, while proficiency in English is considered an asset. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms in these languages.

Additional Notes:
The contract type is that of an individual consultant with ONU Femmes, and payment will be based on validated deliverables. The duration of the contract will vary according to the agreed deliverables. The position is supervised by ONU Femmes Haiti.
