Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director - Programs, your mission will be to ensure the quality of the entire donor relationship, including project proposals and reporting, adherence to deadlines with headquarters and donors, and participation in prospecting activities within the country to generate funding opportunities. You will coordinate the identification, structuring, and management of relationships with Action contre la Faim's partners in Chad. This role requires a proactive approach to managing donor relationships and ensuring that project proposals meet the necessary standards and deadlines. You will also play a key role in training field teams on the preparation of documents for donors, as well as internal reporting and monitoring documents, ensuring that all submissions are of high quality and align with organizational standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include contributing to the implementation of the donor strategy for the mission, coordinating the project proposal submission process, and ensuring the quality of submitted proposals. You will advise and train field teams in the preparation of documents for donors, as well as internal reporting and monitoring documents. Additionally, you will organize the production and follow-up of documents intended for donors and internal reporting and monitoring. You will ensure the management and administration of grants is followed up effectively. You will implement, structure, and formalize the partnership approach between Action contre la Faim and its partners in collaboration with technical departments and field coordinators. Furthermore, you will define and implement a mutual knowledge transfer process and capacity building with project partners.

Required Qualifications:
You should hold a Bac +4/5 in international relations, political science, international cooperation, humanitarian project management, or development. Ideally, you will have additional training in project management or humanitarian financing. You must possess 3 to 5 years of experience in managing humanitarian or development projects, with confirmed experience in donor relations and coordination with local and international partners, including international NGOs. You should have technical skills in drafting and assembling project proposals, budget monitoring, grant management, and narrative and financial reporting. Familiarity with donor procedures and the humanitarian context in the Sahel/Chad is essential. Your managerial skills should enable you to train and support field teams, ensure inter-departmental coordination, and work effectively under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.

Educational Background:
A minimum educational requirement is a Bac +4/5 degree in relevant fields such as international relations, political science, international cooperation, humanitarian project management, or development. Additional qualifications in project management or humanitarian financing are highly desirable and will enhance your candidacy for this position.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in managing humanitarian or development projects. This experience should include a strong background in donor relations and coordination with both local and international partners, as well as experience working with international NGOs. Proven skills in project proposal writing, budget management, and reporting are essential for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in both French and English is mandatory, with strong written and oral communication skills in both languages. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

This position is a fixed-term contract under French law for a duration of 6 months, ending on 30/11/202
  • The gross monthly salary ranges from 2597 to 2968 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th month payment. Non-French citizens will receive a retirement insurance reimbursement of 16% of their gross monthly salary. The base salary will increase by 6% every 12 months of continuous contract. Additional benefits include a monthly per diem and living expenses of 838 euros net, a monthly contextual allowance of 150 euros, and a child allowance of 1500 euros per year for each child present in the home country (with a ceiling of 6000 euros per year). Transportation and accommodation will be covered, and medical coverage includes 100% reimbursement of health contributions and repatriation insurance, as well as medical expenses for up to one month after the end of the contract. Salary maintenance provisions are in place for illness, maternity, and paternity. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave and 20 rest and recuperation days per year, with travel expenses covered for breaks and a fixed allowance of 215 euros per RnR. Training and support will also be provided.
