Job Overview: The Operation Assistant for the Emergency Centre for Transboundary Animal Diseases (ECTAD) Programme will play a crucial role in supporting the FAO's initiatives in Indonesia. This position involves providing administrative and financial management support to ensure the effective implementation of the ECTAD Programme. The successful candidate will work closely with the FAO Representative in Indonesia and the ECTAD Programme Team Leader, contributing to the planning, monitoring, and reporting of project activities. The role requires a strong understanding of programmatic and operational support, as well as the ability to coordinate logistics and administrative tasks effectively. The Operation Assistant will also be responsible for liaising with government counterparts, project partners, and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth execution of project activities.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Operation Assistant will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:
Financial Management: Supporting the planning, implementation, and monitoring of technical activities, preparing budget plans, monitoring project expenditures, ensuring compliance with budget lines and FAO guidelines, and preparing financial reports for FAO ECTAD project activities.
Administration Management and Logistics: Assisting project implementation partners in organizing events such as workshops and training sessions, collecting and filing necessary administrative documents, coordinating operational administration and logistics for project activities, and supporting the CNVA and Technical Specialists in liaising with stakeholders.
General Support: Providing backup for other operations and administrative tasks as required, and performing any other relevant duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Development Administration, or other relevant fields. Additionally, a minimum of three years of work experience in programmatic and/or operational support or related fields is required. Candidates should also have a working knowledge of English and Bahasa Indonesia, and must be nationals of Indonesia.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Accounting, Business Management, or Development Administration. Candidates must ensure that their qualifications are recognized by the World Higher Education Database (WHED).
Experience: The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in programmatic and/or operational support. This experience should ideally include roles that involve financial management, administrative support, and project implementation.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is mandatory for this position. Candidates should possess good communication skills in both languages to effectively liaise with various stakeholders and prepare reports.
