Job Overview:
The National Consultant position at UN Women Indonesia is designed to provide essential administrative support across the Governance, Peace and Resilience (GPR) portfolio. The consultant will play a crucial role in ensuring that various initiatives under this portfolio are executed efficiently and effectively. This role involves close collaboration with the Programme team members from different projects, including BRIDGES 4 Peace and WE NEXUS, as well as with the UN Women Operations Team and other stakeholders. The consultant will be responsible for a range of tasks that include administrative, logistical, and operational support, which are vital for the successful implementation of activities. The consultant will report directly to the WE NEXUS-Project Coordination Analyst and will be expected to maintain high standards of quality and timeliness in all deliverables, ensuring that the support functions are consistent and optimized for resource use.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will undertake a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: providing administrative and logistical support to the GPR Portfolio, which involves preparing programme work plans, budgets, and proposals, tracking fund delivery, and supporting executing agencies with routine reporting. The consultant will also be responsible for organizing meetings, webinars, and events, making travel arrangements for the Programme Team, and preparing necessary documentation for payments and procurement processes. Additionally, the consultant will lead financial management tasks such as developing budgets, monitoring expenses, and assisting with project documentation and knowledge management. This includes maintaining filing systems, organizing stakeholder databases, and compiling data for various reports and documents. The consultant will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a completion of secondary education as a minimum, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field considered an asset. Candidates should possess strong administrative and organizational skills, knowledge of programme and financial management processes, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential, along with strong documentation and reporting skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are also critical for success in this role.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Public Administration, or Finance being advantageous. This educational background will provide the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of programme management and administrative support within the context of UN Women’s initiatives.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in coordination, operational, financial, and administrative support or programme management is required. Candidates should have knowledge in procurement and experience in event coordination. Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is considered an asset, as is familiarity with governance, gender equality, or Women, Peace and Security (WPS) programmes. Proficiency in using Quantum and Unall systems is also beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia is required for this position. This bilingual capability is essential for effective communication and collaboration within the diverse teams and stakeholders involved in UN Women’s projects.

Additional Notes:
The consultant will be based in the UN Women Indonesia Office in Jakarta and may be required to travel outside Jakarta as assigned by the hiring unit. The position is expected to provide full-time support, and candidates should be prepared for a role that demands flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic working environment.
