Job Overview: The IM Manager is responsible for the effective management of program data collected, which includes specifying data collection and visualization systems, designing various tools, centralizing data, and ensuring quality assurance. The IM Manager provides technical support to program teams regarding data management and the appropriate use of tools and formats. The position also requires ensuring cross-functional collaboration within the team and consistency with program managers' expectations. The IM Manager will face challenges in leading mission-level data management, including analysis that aids decision-making for the program team and management, and will need to visualize data innovatively for both internal and external audiences. Initial priorities include reviewing and strengthening the Mission Database/Dashboard and creating a framework for data collection, storage, and analysis at the mission level.
Duties and Responsibilities: The IM Manager's duties include supervising the data management team, implementing data collection and analysis activities, ensuring the quality of data and tools used, providing technical support to program teams, centralizing and harmonizing program-specific tools and data, and leading the mission-level data management efforts. The IM Manager is also responsible for visualizing data in innovative ways to support decision-making and ensuring that the data management processes align with the organization's objectives. Additionally, the IM Manager will need to address security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security constraints in both N'Djamena and Sudan, adapting strategies to ensure the safety of the team and the integrity of the data collected.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field. A first experience in an information management position is required, along with at least two years of experience in the humanitarian sector and two years in a similar position. Experience with Solidarités International is highly desirable. The role requires strong technical skills in data collection, analysis, and visualization software, as well as the ability to deliver training effectively. Transversal skills such as autonomy, proactivity, and the ability to work under pressure are also essential.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, which provides the foundational knowledge necessary for effective data management and analysis in a humanitarian context.
Experience: The IM Manager should have a minimum of two years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least two years in a similar information management role. Languages: English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Arabic and French is considered an asset, enhancing communication capabilities within diverse teams and with local partners.

The role is based in N'Djamena, where the living conditions include shared accommodation with 24/7 electricity and internet access. The salary starts from EUR 2310 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly per diem of USD 750 is provided, along with coverage for accommodation costs and travel expenses. The organization implements a break system, allowing for time off every three months, and provides a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations. The IM Manager may also be expected to visit bases in Darfur, where living conditions may vary.
