Job Overview:
The Analyst, Internal Audit Analytics is an entry-level position within the Internal Audit Department (IAD) of the EBRD. The primary purpose of this role is to contribute significantly to the development, execution, and enhancement of the IAD's digital strategy, particularly through the use of data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI). The Analyst will work closely with the IT & Analytics team to assess risks within their assigned portfolio and assist in executing audit engagements related to the EBRD's Transformation Group. This includes IT applications, platforms, and processes, ensuring that the audits align with the IAD's risk-based audit plan. The role also involves supporting the IAD team with various tasks, including supervising team members and external consultants, and contributing to departmental improvements as directed by the leadership team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst will be responsible for promoting and executing the IAD's digital strategy, which includes leveraging data analytics and AI to enhance departmental capabilities. Key responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders to understand the EBRD's data landscape, facilitating data access, developing and maintaining data analytics dashboards, and supporting the assessment of data quality. The Analyst will also contribute to audit engagements by identifying key risks, planning audit activities, performing fieldwork, and drafting audit reports. Additionally, the Analyst will develop constructive relationships with stakeholders, ensure timely delivery of activities, and stay updated on industry developments related to data analytics and AI.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a university degree or equivalent, preferably in fields related to data, AI, technology, or mathematics. A focus on business and finance subjects is also beneficial. While not mandatory, certifications in data analytics and AI, as well as professional qualifications in IT auditing or risk management, are desirable. Relevant experience in developing data analytics and AI applications in a business context, particularly within finance or banking, is advantageous but not required. Experience in auditing or risk management is also a plus.

Educational Background:
A university degree is required, ideally with a focus on data, AI, technology, or mathematics. Candidates with degrees in business and finance with a significant data component are also encouraged to apply. Certifications in data analytics and AI are considered beneficial, as well as professional qualifications related to IT auditing or IT risk management, although these are not essential.

Experience:
The position is designed for candidates at an entry-level, meaning that relevant post-education experience in data analytics and AI is advantageous but not a strict requirement. Experience in auditing or risk management is also beneficial but not mandatory. The role is suitable for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their careers in internal audit and analytics.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with strong oral and written communication skills required. The ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences and negotiate effectively is essential.
