Job Overview: The Partnerships Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of WPHF’s partnerships and resource mobilization strategy. This position involves providing technical and operational support to enhance donor engagement and strategic partnerships. The Consultant will be responsible for managing donor intelligence, tracking revenue, maintaining partnerships databases, and preparing briefing materials. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure coordinated partnerships across governments and other entities, contributing to significant events such as the Global Women’s Forum for Peace. The Consultant will also assist in proposal development, ensuring alignment with donor priorities, and will engage in the planning and execution of strategic partnership milestones, particularly in relation to WPHF’s objectives for its 10-year anniversary and support for the Global Luminaries program.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Consultant will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including:
Contributing to proposal development by compiling information and drafting inputs for concept notes and funding proposals, ensuring they align with donor priorities.
Participating in the preparation and delivery of key events such as the Global Women’s Peace Forum and donor roundtables, which includes drafting materials and coordinating inputs.
Collaborating with communication and program teams to identify and develop partnership opportunities, including re-engaging lapsed donors.
Preparing draft briefing materials, including talking points, background notes, presentations, and meeting summaries for donor engagements.
Assisting in the organization and follow-up of donor meetings, coordinating inputs, logistics, and tracking action points.
Preparing funding forecasts and analytical summaries to support internal planning and decision-making.
Analyzing donor engagement data and funding trends to identify key insights for resource mobilization.
Collaborating on the development of knowledge and visibility products, including impact reports and donor-facing materials.
Supporting the coordination of donor engagement activities and tracking outreach efforts. 1
Participating in internal meetings and providing updates as required. 1
Supporting partnerships, communications, and advocacy efforts related to the WPHF Global Luminary Program, including planning calls and follow-ups.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in fields such as international relations, law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, public policy, development studies, gender studies, or related areas. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of gender equality and women's empowerment issues, as well as the ability to engage effectively with government representatives and stakeholders in multilateral settings. Knowledge of the UN system and intergovernmental processes is essential, along with strong analytical and communication skills.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in international relations, international law, public policy, development studies, gender studies, or other related fields is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience: A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in partnerships, resource mobilization, program coordination, or intergovernmental processes within the UN system, international organizations, or related contexts is required. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in drafting briefing and analytical materials, coordinating multi-stakeholder meetings, and engaging with governments and UN entities. Experience in donor engagement and maintaining databases or tracking tools is desirable, as is experience working in multilateral or intergovernmental settings.
Languages: Fluency in English is required for this position. Knowledge of French is highly desirable, and knowledge of another UN language such as Spanish or Arabic is considered an asset.
