Job Overview:
The National Consultant for Public Speaking Training will be responsible for designing and delivering a series of public speaking training sessions for four women with disabilities who are beneficiaries of the EU4Gender Equality Phase II project in Moldova. The training aims to enhance the participants' communication skills, self-confidence, and advocacy capabilities, preparing them to deliver impactful speeches at a TEDx-style public event. The consultant will work closely with the participants to assess their needs, develop tailored training materials, and facilitate interactive sessions that promote active participation and confidence-building. The consultant will also provide individualized coaching and feedback to help each participant refine their public speaking style and advocacy messages. The ultimate goal is to empower these women to effectively articulate their rights and experiences, contributing to sustained social and behavioral change within their communities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will undertake several key responsibilities, including:
  • Training Design and Preparation: Organizing an inclusive online introductory meeting with participants and the UN Women team, developing a pre/post questionnaire to assess specific needs, submitting a brief inception note outlining methodology and timeline, creating a customized training agenda, and preparing accessible training materials.
  • Delivery of Training Sessions: Facilitating up to six joint training sessions focused on speech writing and public speaking, applying participatory methodologies, and providing a supportive environment for confidence-building.
  • Coaching and Individual Support: Offering tailored feedback and one-on-one coaching sessions to each participant, adjusting training approaches based on feedback, and supporting participants in developing their public speaking style and advocacy messages.
  • Reporting and Deliverables: Providing all training materials in accessible formats and submitting a final report summarizing activities, results, participant progress, and recommendations for follow-up support. The training should guide participants through the entire process of speech development and delivery, ensuring they are well-prepared for the public event.
