Job Overview:
The consultant will play a crucial role in enhancing the online presence and functionality of the Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa Global Award for Women’s Empowerment website. This position requires a proactive approach to website management, ensuring that the content is accurate, up-to-date, and user-friendly. The consultant will be responsible for overseeing the regular management of the website, which includes reviewing and adjusting web pages to improve their design and functionality. Additionally, the consultant will monitor website performance through analytics, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the visibility of the Global Award initiatives. The role demands a strong understanding of website applications management and graphic design, as well as the ability to work independently while collaborating with the Global Award Project Coordinator and the Regional Coordination Specialist. The consultant will also be expected to provide additional support as needed, contributing to the overall success of the award and its objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the regular management and enhancement of the Global Award website, ensuring that content remains accurate, up to date, and user-friendly.
  • Review and adjust web pages, including design elements, structure, and supporting documentation, to improve functionality and presentation.
  • Monitor website performance by compiling and analyzing analytics data, and provide insights through periodic and ad hoc reports.
  • Advise on strategies to strengthen the online visibility of Global Award initiatives and events, in line with UN Women branding standards and partner visibility requirements.
  • Provide additional related support as required, ensuring that all tasks align with the goals of the consultancy and the broader objectives of UN Women.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in website management and graphic design, with a proven ability to enhance user experience and functionality. A deep understanding of web applications management is essential, along with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently. Strong oral and written communication skills are also required to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members and stakeholders. The consultant should demonstrate creativity in problem-solving and a commitment to gender issues, aligning with UN Women's core values and competencies.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree or equivalent in web design, programming, communication, or a related field is required for this consultancy position. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. This educational background ensures that the consultant has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to manage and enhance the Global Award website effectively.

Experience:
Candidates must have at least two years of professional experience in Sitecore, website applications management, or related fields. Expertise in website and graphic design software is required, along with experience in gathering and presenting website and social media analytics. Familiarity with UN Women’s operations and initiatives is desirable, as it will enhance the consultant's ability to align their work with the organization's goals and standards.

Languages:
