Job Overview: The Consultant for the Gender Action Lab Programme will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the WEPs Awards Indonesia 2026 and the WEPs Corporate Action Lab. This position requires effective communication with various stakeholders, including judges and national partners, to ensure the smooth execution of the awards process. The consultant will be responsible for contributing to the scoring process, ensuring due diligence for shortlisted applications, and planning the National WEPs Awards Ceremony. Additionally, the consultant will facilitate the onboarding of participants for the Corporate Action Lab, assist in delivering training sessions, and support the development of strategic documents related to women's economic empowerment initiatives. The consultant will also be expected to produce monthly reports and work plans in alignment with UN Women's feedback and requests, ensuring that the objectives of the WEE Programme are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of the WEPs Awards Indonesia 2026, including communication with judges and national partners.
Contribute to the scoring process and ensure adherence to UN Women's standards.
Conduct due diligence for shortlisted applications.
Plan and implement the National WEPs Awards Ceremony in collaboration with relevant partners.
Work with the UN Women Indonesia Communication Unit to enhance visibility for the WEPs Awards.
Prepare a final report on the implementation of the WEPs Awards.
Facilitate registration and onboarding for WEPs Corporate Action Lab participants.
Assist in delivering training and capacity-building sessions for private sector partners.
Develop strategy documents, proposals, and briefs related to the Corporate Action Lab. 1
Support partnership development for women's economic empowerment initiatives. 1
Manage promotional events to engage stakeholders and sustain interest in UN Women’s programs. 1
Secondary education is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, International Relations, Economics, or a related field is highly desirable.
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience with a high school diploma or 5 years with a bachelor’s degree in program development, planning, or management.
Familiarity with developing Terms of Reference, concept notes, and presentations is an asset.
Experience engaging with the private sector on gender equality and diversity inclusion is preferred.
Previous experience in the UN system is advantageous.
Educational Background: The position requires at least secondary education, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Business, Public Administration, International Relations, or Economics. While a degree is not mandatory, it is highly desirable and can enhance a candidate's suitability for the role.
Experience: Candidates should possess a minimum of 7 years of professional experience if they hold a high school diploma, or 5 years if they have a bachelor’s degree. Relevant experience in supporting program development, planning, and management is required, along with a strong background in project management and communications. Experience in engaging with private sectors to promote gender equality and diversity inclusion is considered an asset, and prior experience working within the UN system is advantageous.
Languages: Fluency in English and Indonesian is required for this position. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication with stakeholders and for the successful execution of the program's objectives.
Additional Notes: This consultancy is home-based, but the consultant must be located in the Greater Jakarta area to attend key in-person workshops and events. The position is part-time, and the consultant will be expected to produce a work plan and monthly reports in line with UN Women’s feedback.
