Job Overview:
The position of RH Coordinator involves leading and coordinating the HR services of the mission. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with Solidarités International procedures, donor procedures, and the laws of the country where SI operates. This role serves as the reference point for the mission and the link between headquarters and the mission regarding human resource management. The mission in Haiti has been active since 2004 and has developed a solid emergency response experience, particularly after significant crises such as the 2016 cyclone and the 2021 earthquake. The RH Coordinator will play a crucial role in the ongoing recruitment of the HR team, which will be entirely new to SI, necessitating substantial support and training to ensure effective operations. The position also involves restructuring the department, particularly in relation to the ongoing separation between the base and coordination, and managing the dynamics of proposal submissions and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The RH Coordinator will oversee the structuring of the HR department and ensure its effective functioning at both the base and coordination levels. Key responsibilities include implementing all SI procedures within the mission, ensuring understanding and ownership by the teams, training and capacity building of the HR team, particularly the Deputy HR Coordinator in preparation for the nationalization of the position by early 202
  • The coordinator will also finalize and implement the annual action plan for 2026, complete the physical and electronic archiving of HR files, and strengthen structured and effective social dialogue within the mission. The role requires a proactive approach to managing HR services and addressing the specific challenges posed by the security situation in Haiti.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree at the BAC+4 level in Management or Human Resources. They should have 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector and a similar position. Technical skills required include experience as a coordinator or director of human resources in a humanitarian mission, with at least one field experience being mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and the capacity to structure work within a team. A good understanding and experience in human resource management, including the establishment of HR procedures and policies, labor market analysis, and HR strategy development, are essential. Candidates must also be able to analyze, interpret, and understand local legislation and support local teams in enhancing their skills. Proficiency in computer tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required, and familiarity with the payroll software Homère is appreciated.

Educational Background:
A university degree at the BAC+4 level in Management or Human Resources is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage human resources in a humanitarian context.

Experience:
The position requires 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a focus on human resources management. Candidates should have a proven track record in similar roles, demonstrating their ability to lead HR functions in challenging environments and manage teams effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory as it is the working language of the organization. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not explicitly required for this position.

  • The organization provides a salary starting from EUR 2840 gross per month, which includes a base salary and a 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly, along with a monthly per diem of USD 75
