Job Overview:
The Tender Advisor position is a critical role within DRC’s Commercial Contracts team, which is responsible for overseeing and supporting country offices in the bidding, management, and implementation of commercial contracts. The Tender Advisor will play a pivotal role in coordinating business development efforts, particularly in the preparation and submission of proposals. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence DRC’s commercial portfolio and enhance the organization’s capacity to engage with commercial contracts. The successful candidate will work closely with Business Development Advisors and country operations to identify new opportunities, negotiate with partners, and ensure compliance with DRC’s standards and donor requirements. The role also involves maintaining systems and workflows that facilitate effective bidding processes and providing training to staff on commercial contract procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Tender Advisor will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: supporting Business Development Advisors in identifying and pursuing new commercial contract opportunities; assisting country operations in developing and submitting proposals; negotiating with potential partners; setting up and maintaining systems and tools to enhance DRC’s bidding capabilities; ensuring internal coordination and information flow between HQ and country offices; leading and coordinating proposal development processes; facilitating internal reviews and quality assurance for proposals; providing training and support to DRC staff on commercial contract processes; and contributing to the development of relevant Operations Framework sections related to commercial contracting.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a relevant master’s degree in international development, business development, economics, or a related field. A strong understanding of commercial contracting processes is essential, along with the ability to manage complex coordination processes and multi-stakeholder relationships. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in English. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team is crucial, along with a high level of integrity and commitment to DRC’s values and mission.

Educational Background:
A relevant master’s degree in fields such as international development, business development, economics, or similar disciplines is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to excel in the role of Tender Advisor.

Experience:
Candidates should have relevant experience in business development and contract management, preferably within the private or NGO sector. This experience should demonstrate the ability to enhance business development processes, particularly in proposal development, and to effectively manage complex coordination and stakeholder relationships.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages, such as French or Spanish, is considered desirable and may enhance the candidate's suitability for the role.

The position offers a permanent contract with a workplace located at Lyngbyvej 100, 2100 Copenhagen Ø, conveniently situated near Ryparken station.
