This project aims to ensure that environmental and climate policies in Latin America and the Caribbean incorporate gender perspectives in their design and implementation, addressing the specific threats posed by climate change and environmental degradation to women and girls.

Job Overview:
The position of Asociada/o Administrativa/o de Proyecto involves providing administrative and logistical support for the implementation of the regional project aimed at integrating gender perspectives into climate change and environmental policies. Reporting to the Programme Analyst, the role requires collaboration with program team members to ensure effective project development and execution in accordance with ONU Mujeres standards and regulations. The incumbent will engage in financial and administrative management, operational support, and logistical coordination necessary for project activities. This position is crucial for ensuring that the project meets its objectives while adhering to the organization's guidelines and procedures. The role also includes supporting the organization of conferences, workshops, and stakeholder meetings, thereby facilitating the project's outreach and engagement efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for project implementation, ensuring compliance with ONU Mujeres standards and procedures. This includes managing administrative tasks, coordinating with implementing partners, and supporting procurement processes.
  • Assist in organizing conferences, workshops, and meetings, including preparing necessary documentation, managing logistics, and ensuring effective communication with participants.
  • Support financial management for the program, including budget formulation, financial reporting, and monitoring expenditures.
  • Maintain project databases, prepare financial reports, and ensure proper documentation for all project-related activities.
  • Collaborate with various teams within ONU Mujeres to resolve complex administrative and financial issues and facilitate information sharing.
  • Perform other functions as required to ensure the efficient operation of the office and organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in administration and finance, with at least 6 years of progressive experience in related fields. A bachelor's degree in economics, finance, administration, or a related area is desirable. Proficiency in using office software and web-based management systems is essential, along with experience in teamwork and collaboration. Familiarity with modern ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud, is considered an asset. Experience in public institutions or international organizations is also desirable.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement is the completion of secondary education. A bachelor's degree in economics, finance, administration, or related fields is preferred, as it provides a solid foundation for the responsibilities of the position.

Experience:
The role requires a minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in administration and finance, particularly in cooperation projects or public/private entities. Candidates with a bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience may also be considered. Experience in using office software and web-based management systems is mandatory, along with a proven ability to work effectively in teams. Desirable experience includes at least 2 years in public institutions or international organizations.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in English is desirable, and knowledge of another official UN language (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is also considered an asset.
