Job Overview: The position of Coordinador/a objetivo estratégico 2 - Resiliencia is crucial for the implementation of strategic objectives related to resilience in Bolivia. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating the planning, implementation, and monitoring of resilience interventions aligned with the Country Strategic Plan (CSP) and national priorities. This role requires a deep understanding of the local context and the ability to lead the design of technical programs that address climate change adaptation, food systems strengthening, and risk reduction. The coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders, including government counterparts, UN agencies, NGOs, and technical partners, to ensure effective inter-institutional coordination and complementarity of interventions. The position also involves monitoring and evaluating programmatic results, ensuring quality and coherence in project implementation, and contributing to the overall mission of WFP in Bolivia.
Duties and Responsibilities: The main responsibilities of the Coordinador/a (SO2) include:
Coordinating the planning, implementation, and monitoring of resilience interventions under Strategic Objective 2, ensuring alignment with the CSP and national priorities.
Leading the technical design of resilience programs, incorporating sustainability and intercultural approaches.
Conducting context, risk, and capacity analyses to identify priority areas and populations for resilience interventions.
Ensuring technical quality and programmatic coherence of projects under SO2, integrating cross-cutting approaches such as gender, protection, inclusion, and environmental focus.
Coordinating with government counterparts, UN agencies, NGOs, and technical partners to strengthen inter-institutional coordination.
Collaborating with the Monitoring & Evaluation unit to track programmatic results and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Defining and analyzing performance indicators for resilience interventions in coordination with the M&E team.
Preparing and consolidating technical and programmatic reports related to SO2 for country, regional, and headquarters coordination.
Integrating resilience information into institutional reports and strategic planning exercises. 1

Performing administrative processes established by WFP to achieve results. 1
Undertaking other related functions as requested by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in program management, particularly in resilience and food security. They should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and a commitment to WFP's values of integrity, collaboration, commitment, humanity, and inclusion. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as well as proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Candidates should also have experience in monitoring and evaluation processes, and familiarity with the socio-economic context of Bolivia is highly desirable.
Educational Background: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as international development, social sciences, agriculture, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred and may be considered an asset for the position.
Experience: Candidates should have at least five years of relevant professional experience in program management, particularly in resilience, food security, or related areas. Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or government agencies in Bolivia or similar contexts is highly desirable. Proven experience in leading teams and managing complex projects is essential.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Bolivia. Proficiency in English is also required, and knowledge of indigenous languages spoken in Bolivia would be considered an asset.
