Job Overview:
As an Associate Platform Engineer at the World Bank, you will be part of the Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidency, specifically within the Digital Solutions team. This role is pivotal in enabling pro-developers and modernizing applications while ensuring secure integrations and scalable solutions across the organization. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that collaboration technologies, particularly those built on SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365, are secure, compliant, and provide high-quality digital experiences for a global workforce. The position requires a strong focus on designing, engineering, and optimizing modern collaboration solutions, and you will be expected to engage with developers and IT stakeholders to achieve innovative outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate Platform Engineer will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including managing and optimizing SharePoint Online as a modern application platform, ensuring its reliability and scalability. You will engineer and support SPFx solutions, React-based custom components, and integrations, while leveraging Microsoft Graph API and SharePoint REST API for enhanced automation and reporting. Your role will also involve designing solutions using Azure Functions and other cloud-native services, modernizing legacy SharePoint applications, and ensuring that all solutions meet organizational security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and compliance standards. Additionally, you will monitor platform health, support project execution, and develop Power BI dashboards to provide insights into platform usage and health. Engaging with stakeholders to collect requirements and communicate technical concepts clearly will also be a key part of your role.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field. A strong background in administering and building solutions on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online is essential, along with proven experience in delivering SPFx, React JS, and automation solutions. Candidates should also have expertise in programming and scripting, particularly in PowerShell and JavaScript/TypeScript, and familiarity with migration tooling. Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are critical, as is the ability to work within Agile delivery methodologies.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have a Master's degree in a relevant field with at least 5 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. The educational background should ideally include coursework or training related to information technology, software development, or a similar discipline.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in administering and building solutions on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online. Candidates should have a proven track record of delivering SPFx, React JS, and automation solutions, as well as a strong background in security, compliance, and governance across Microsoft 365 platforms. Experience with programming and scripting, particularly in PowerShell and JavaScript/TypeScript, is also necessary.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English. While no additional languages are specified as preferred, proficiency in other languages may be beneficial in a global organization like the World Bank.
