Job Overview: The Multisectorial Manager is tasked with implementing and achieving the objectives outlined in operational proposals. This role involves overseeing operational teams assigned to various programs, ensuring the quality and performance of activities, and making necessary adjustments to maintain relevance in a rapidly changing environment. The manager will face challenges such as working with national teams that may have limited humanitarian experience and adapting to a dynamic operational context. The position requires strong logistical planning and coordination with partners, suppliers, and communities to execute distributions effectively. The first few months will involve kick-starting new grants, organizing the arrival of international goods, developing distribution strategies, and providing guidance and training to national staff to enhance their capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement and oversee the objectives defined in operational proposals.
Manage operational teams assigned to the program, ensuring quality and performance of activities.
Propose adjustments or developments to maintain program relevance.
Plan and execute distributions in coordination with partners, suppliers, and communities.
Kick-start new grants, including conducting kick-off meetings and preparing monitoring tools.
Organize and manage the arrival of international goods.
Develop and implement a clear distribution strategy.
Scale up the team and provide training and support to national staff.
Monitor and evaluate program quality and adapt to changing field conditions. 1
Ensure compliance with security protocols in a high-risk environment.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing environments. 1
Previous experience with SI or similar organizations is an asset. 1
Prior experience working in Palestine is an asset.
Educational Background: A relevant degree in humanitarian studies, social sciences, or a related field is preferred. Additional certifications in project management or emergency response may be advantageous.
Experience: The position requires 0-2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a similar level of experience in a comparable role being beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate a capacity to work effectively in challenging environments and possess a willingness to learn and adapt.
Languages: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is considered an asset, enhancing communication with local communities and stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This is a short-term contract position with a duration of 7 months, involving 3 rotations. The role is based in Gaza, where Solidarités International maintains its office and guesthouse. The salary starts from 2310 EUR gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly Per Diem of USD 750 is provided, along with coverage for accommodation and travel expenses. The organization implements a break system, allowing for time off every three months, with an additional rest day granted for each month worked. Expatriates benefit from a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations. Living conditions in Gaza have improved since the ceasefire, with basic food items available, although prices may be high. The position requires adaptability to the local context and the ability to work under security constraints.
