Job Overview: The Client Engagement Assistant position is crucial for supporting the mobilization and placement of UN Volunteers within UN Agencies, Funds, and Programmes at the country level. Reporting to the Country Coordinator and under the guidance of the Regional Manager, the assistant will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and nurturing partnerships with UN entities. This role involves managing relationships with priority partners, ensuring client satisfaction with volunteer services, and facilitating the delivery of services from centralized functions of the volunteer management cycle. The assistant will be responsible for gathering and sharing data that influences mobilization opportunities, contributing to advocacy campaigns, and supporting the onboarding and ongoing experience of volunteers. The position requires regular interaction with UN personnel at various levels and emphasizes the importance of collaboration across multiple units and functions within UNV.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Mobilizing Volunteers and Developing Partnerships: The assistant will support the management of assigned partner accounts, maintain relationships with UN entities, identify volunteer placement opportunities, and contribute to the development of tailored offers that meet partners' needs. Responsibilities include supporting advocacy campaigns, collecting and analyzing data from UN Cooperation Frameworks, documenting mobilization opportunities in UNV’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, and preparing presentations for partner engagement. The assistant will also act as a focal point for online volunteering, assisting host entities in developing opportunities and promoting the concept of online volunteering.
Supporting Volunteer Experience and Duty of Care: The assistant will assist with onboarding volunteers, respond to inquiries, gather feedback, and help organize appreciation initiatives. Additionally, the assistant will backstop other functions during peak periods to ensure continuity of service.

Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, international relations, development studies, or a related field is required. Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in partnership management, volunteer coordination, or a related field. Experience working within the UN system or with international organizations is highly valued. Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local partners and volunteers. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the region may be considered an asset.
