Job Overview:
The Analyst/Senior Analyst position at WJCF is crucial for the successful implementation and continuous improvement of the Project iLIFT, which focuses on integrated lung health initiatives in the Korba district of Chhattisgarh, India. The role requires a highly motivated individual with strong leadership and analytical skills, who can effectively communicate and engage with various stakeholders. The Analyst will support the project by ensuring adherence to the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework, conducting research, and generating insights to inform strategic decision-making. This position involves close collaboration with program teams, government stakeholders, and field staff to facilitate systematic data collection, research design, analysis, and dissemination of findings. The Analyst will also be responsible for designing user-friendly M&E tools, maintaining project databases, and producing performance reports, all while contributing to capacity-building efforts within local health systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Routine program M&E: Ensure compliance with the project M&E framework and tools to track progress and outcomes. Design project monitoring plans and performance indicators frameworks. Develop monthly dashboards and internal management information systems (MIS) for project performance tracking. Prepare analytical outputs and reports in line with donor and organizational requirements.
  • Research and Learning: Support the design and implementation of primary and secondary research studies. Develop research protocols and tools in collaboration with technical experts. Conduct literature reviews and stakeholder interviews to generate contextual evidence. Synthesize findings and disseminate learnings through presentations and reports.
  • Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting: Maintain high-quality project monitoring and research databases. Perform data analysis to support program decisions and recommend corrective actions. Prepare monthly indicator and research progress reports. Conduct field visits for data validation and qualitative assessments.
  • Capacity Building and Technical Support: Build capacity of government stakeholders in routine supervision and monitoring of project activities. Support training of service providers and improve recording and reporting systems.
  • Evaluation and Learning: Support evaluations in collaboration with stakeholders. Synthesize findings and disseminate key learnings. Contribute to knowledge building in monitoring and evaluation. Engage with partners to leverage external data for enhanced project monitoring.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Liaise with program teams and government counterparts to align data strategies and refine interventions. Support evidence-based communication through actionable data insights.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), analytics, or research. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills are essential, as well as the ability to synthesize complex data for diverse audiences. Proficiency in statistical tools, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi are necessary, along with a strong desire to work in a multicultural environment.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Statistics, Social Sciences, or Management. This educational background is essential to equip the candidate with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the analytical and research tasks required for the role.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in monitoring and evaluation, analytics, or research. This experience should include a strong understanding of data management and analysis, as well as familiarity with the health sector and program implementation.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Hindi is mandatory for this position. Strong communication skills in both languages are essential for effective collaboration with stakeholders and for the dissemination of research findings. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.

The position is full-time and may require travel up to 25% of the time at short notice. The role is based in India, specifically in the Korba district of Chhattisgarh, and is part of a project that aims to improve lung health among tribal populations.
