Job Overview:
The Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the implementation of Mercy Corps' global rebrand initiative, which aims to enhance the organization's identity and impact on a worldwide scale. This position will involve close collaboration with various stakeholders, including regional leadership and country teams, to ensure that localized rebranding plans are effectively aligned with global standards and resources. The role will require a strong focus on project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management to facilitate a smooth transition to the new brand identity. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the planning, execution, and monitoring of rollout activities, identifying training needs, and coordinating capacity-building efforts to support the adoption of new brand guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for several key duties, including:
  • Partnering with regional and country teams to develop and execute localized rebrand rollout plans that align with global standards.
  • Collaborating with the Rebrand PMO and director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Senior Director of Operations Management to ensure strategic alignment across regions and countries.
  • Identifying training and capacity-building needs for country teams regarding brand guidelines and coordinating the delivery of training resources.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between country/regional teams and the Rebrand PMO, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
  • Managing project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple regions while monitoring progress and escalating risks as necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of plans, milestones, and decisions using project management tools.
  • Coordinating knowledge-sharing and best practices across regions to promote consistency and efficiency.
  • Building strong relationships with regional and country leadership to foster buy-in and smooth adoption of the new brand.
  • Facilitating regular coordination calls and working groups to ensure alignment and resolve challenges. 1
  • Establishing clear reporting mechanisms to provide regular updates on progress to relevant stakeholders. 1
  • Supporting change management efforts by communicating key messages and addressing concerns throughout the rollout process. 1
  • Contributing to after-action reviews and lessons learned to inform future global initiatives. 1

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a BA/S or equivalent in a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a preference for certification in project management. A proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects in global or multi-disciplinary settings is essential. Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement across diverse cultural contexts is required. Strong organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities effectively. Candidates should demonstrate highly effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly. Familiarity with project management platforms, such as Wrike or similar, and proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite are also required. Experience in international relief and development or global nonprofit environments is preferred, along with the ability to develop strategic project plans that align with organizational goals. Candidates should have demonstrated experience working with senior and executive-level leadership.

Educational Background:
The position requires a BA/S or equivalent in a related field, which provides the foundational knowledge necessary for effective project management and stakeholder engagement in a global context.

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in managing large-scale projects that involve multiple stakeholders across various regions.
