Job Overview: The Head of Social Media and Audiovisual Division will lead a newly created division within the EIB Group’s Communication Department. This role involves defining and steering the strategic direction of the Group’s social media presence and audiovisual output across various platforms. The successful candidate will ensure that all content aligns with institutional priorities and reflects the EIB's values and high standards. Responsibilities include overseeing the planning, creation, and delivery of engaging social media and audiovisual content, optimizing it for audience engagement, and utilizing AI-powered tools for data-driven optimization. The position requires a strong leader with proven expertise in social media management and storytelling, capable of guiding a multidisciplinary team towards excellence in content production.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Head of Social Media and Audiovisual Division will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the EIB Group’s social media and audiovisual presence. This includes defining workflows and standards for high-quality delivery across all channels, managing the planning and production of engaging content, and prioritizing activities based on institutional needs. The role also involves overseeing marketing activities, advising senior leadership on social media presence, and leading a multidisciplinary team. The Head will drive data-informed decision-making by establishing KPIs, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with data protection and reputational safeguards. Additionally, the position requires fostering collaboration and continuous improvement within the team, recruiting and managing staff, and creating an empowering work environment.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree (minimum equivalent to a Bachelor) in communication, digital media, journalism, marketing, or audiovisual production. They should have at least 10 years of professional experience in social media, digital communication, or audiovisual production, particularly in a communication agency or corporate/institutional setting. Proven experience in managing and coaching staff, especially in multicultural environments, is essential. Candidates should also demonstrate expertise in overseeing the design and delivery of high-quality audiovisual content and possess a strong understanding of social media ecosystems and audience behavior.
Educational Background: A university degree in a relevant field such as communication, digital media, journalism, marketing, or audiovisual production is required. This educational background should provide a solid foundation for understanding the complexities of digital communication and content production.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in social media, digital communication, or audiovisual production. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and experience in leading teams, particularly in international or multicultural settings.
Languages: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Knowledge of other EU languages is considered an advantage, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This is a full-time position at grade 7, offering a permanent contract. The EIB provides relocation support for successful candidates. The recruitment process includes initial feedback in April 2026, assessment centers for selected applicants in May 2026, and panel interviews anticipated for June 202
