Job Overview: The Administrator position at NRC involves a range of support functions essential for the smooth operation of the organization in the field. The role is crucial in implementing the support function portfolio according to the established plan of action. The Administrator will assist in preparing and developing status reports as required by management, ensuring that all administrative processes are adhered to according to NRC policies and guidelines. The Administrator will also play a key role in maintaining the safety and security of NRC assets, managing staff accommodations, and ensuring compliance with organizational procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Administrator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a filing system for all administrative documents, coordinating IT services and maintenance, preparing payroll data for casual and incentive staff, and managing the security of NRC assets. The role includes representing the organization in compound management meetings, coordinating cleaning and renovations of NRC compounds, and managing inventory of office and accommodation assets. The Administrator will ensure timely payment of utility bills, manage the asset register, and conduct quarterly physical checks of assets. Additionally, the Administrator will provide regular health, safety, and security briefings to staff, liaise with UN agencies and NGOs for security information, and maintain custody of office keys. Other duties may be assigned by the line manager as necessary.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have experience working as an Administrator or in Safety and Security within a humanitarian or recovery context. Previous experience in complex and volatile environments is essential, along with documented results related to the responsibilities of the position. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related fields. Relevant course certifications in project management, risk assessment, or facility management are also required. Training in health, access, and security is considered an asset.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
