Job Overview:
The primary objective of this position is to support ONU Femmes Haiti in enhancing women's political participation, preventing electoral violence, and fostering an inclusive political environment. The Expert·e National-e will work closely with international experts and project managers to facilitate the involvement of Haitian women in electoral processes. This role involves mentoring women candidates, ensuring strategic coherence between action plans and recommendations from political participation forums, and addressing the challenges faced by women in political spaces. The position requires a commitment to empowering women and promoting their active participation in decision-making processes at all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Expert·e National-e will be responsible for designing a mentorship framework that includes objectives, tools, and methodologies tailored to the needs of women candidates. This includes conducting individualized and group mentoring sessions, documenting experiences and best practices, and supporting ONU Femmes in tracking the progress of beneficiaries. The role also involves collaborating with the Ministry of Women's Affairs and the Provisional Electoral Council to ensure alignment with national strategies for women's political participation. Deliverables will include a methodological framework for mentorship, reports on mentoring sessions, and a note summarizing the experiences gained throughout the process.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate integrity and adhere to the values and ethics of the United Nations. They should possess sensitivity and adaptability to individual differences, strong analytical skills, and the ability to propose solutions. Confidentiality and professional ethics are paramount, along with excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in common software and the ability to organize and facilitate workshops and training sessions are also required. Functional competencies include exceptional facilitation skills, the ability to support and advise women candidates in sensitive contexts, and a solid understanding of the issues surrounding women's political participation.

Educational Background:
A university degree at the master's level in social sciences, communication, law, political science, or other relevant fields is required. This educational background should provide a strong foundation for understanding the complexities of gender equality and women's rights within the Haitian context.

Experience:
A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field is required. Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in gender equality and women's rights, with a deep understanding of the Haitian socio-political landscape. Experience in mentoring and supporting women candidates in political processes is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in French and Haitian Creole is mandatory, while proficiency in English is considered an asset. Strong written and verbal communication skills in these languages are essential for effective mentoring and reporting.

Additional Notes:
This position is a consultancy role with ONU Femmes, based on deliverables. Payment will be contingent upon the validation of these deliverables, and the duration of the contract will vary according to the agreed-upon outputs. The Expert·e National-e will be supervised by ONU Femmes Haiti and is expected to adhere to the organization's policies and procedures, including a zero-tolerance policy on misconduct.
