Job Overview: The position of UNV Online Volunteer - Logo Designer is crucial for the Women of Uganda Network as it seeks to enhance its visibility and strengthen its brand identity. The selected volunteer will work closely with the Communications/Programs Team to ensure that the logo reflects WOUGNET's strategic focus on empowering women and girls through technology. Duties and Responsibilities: The UNV Online Volunteer will be responsible for several key tasks, including: reviewing background information on WOUGNET's mission, values, and target audiences, which will be provided by the organization; developing three distinct logo concepts that encapsulate themes of gender equality, empowerment, innovation, and digital inclusion; incorporating feedback from WOUGNET to refine the selected logo concept; delivering the final logo in various formats suitable for both digital and print applications, such as PNG, JPG, SVG, AI, or PSD; and providing basic brand guidelines on logo usage, including color codes, fonts, and scaling instructions. The ultimate goal is to produce a final approved organizational logo along with editable and non-editable logo files and a brief guide on how to use the logo effectively.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for this position should possess a strong background in graphic design, with proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools. A solid understanding of branding principles and experience in logo design are essential. The ability to translate complex ideas into simple and effective visual representations is crucial.
